How to play IB-Flip
Get rid of all your cards — hand, then face-up, then face-down — and finish legally.
Deal. Everyone gets 3 face-down, 3 face-up on top, and a 3-card hand.
Fix your hand. Swap hand cards with your face-up cards, or stack matching ranks.
Lowest card starts (3 is lowest; then 6, 8, 9, J, Q, K, A, 7, 2, 10, 4, 5).
Play one or more cards of the same rank onto the live pile. Draw back to 3 while the deck lasts. Stuck? Flip the top of the deck and hope.
Deck empty: can't play → pick up the live pile. Hand empty → play your face-up cards, then face-down cards blind.
First to finish legally wins. Finishing in a way that gives you another turn (on a 2, a 10, a flip, an 8 heads-up…) means you lose.
Card powers
Flips
A 10 or four of a kind in a row flips the live pile to the discard and the flipper goes again. Special flips:
3s → deal one 3 to each other player · 4s → take a 3 from the discard, next player's turn · 8s → the flipper loses ·
9s → the discard pile becomes the new live pile.
